Property Details

This house is believed to have been built in the reign of Queen Anne and home of the ‘Packet' ships which plied between Flushing and America. The house retains many of its original features over its three storeys. The village is situated on the Penryn River with views over the harbour to Falmouth.

Boscarne is just ten minutes walk from Kiln beach giving access to the coastal footpath around Trefusis Headland to Mylor Yacht Harbour which offers boat hire, launching and mooring facilities. The village itself has a small shop, two good pubs, and a quayside fish restaurant. There is access to Falmouth by frequent foot ferry.

The front door opens directly into the formal dining room, beyond which is the well equipped fitted pine kitchen/breakfast room with an Aga, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Stairs lead to the first floor with one king size double and one twin bedroom with wash hand basin. The bathroom has a bath, electric shower over, wash hand basin, toilet and a washing machine/dryer.

Stairs lead to the second floor drawing room with television, video and CD stereo. This room is split onto two levels and enjoys superb water views.

French doors lead directly onto the sunny patio with garden furniture. A flight of steep cliffside steps lead to ‘the lookout' offering commanding views over the harbour. The waterside garden is 30 metres from the house.

There is one allocated parking space outside the cottage.

We visited the Eden Project and St. Ives and spent the rest of the week playing golf and relaxing. Beautiful evenings sitting out in the waterside garden overlooking the harbour.
