Property Details
The village has two good pubs, a small village store, a waterside fish restaurant, also a beautiful village church and Methodist Chapel. For a great way to get about without the car, catch the passenger foot ferry that runs daily across the river to Falmouth, or catch the local bus. There are plenty of beautiful walks in and around the Fal estuary, with Mylor Harbour, just a mile away, has a busy marina, sailing school, boat hire and water-sports centre, it makes a great base for boat enthusiasts but perfect for the family holiday; and is well placed for exploring Cornwall.
The house is set back from the road by an enclosed sunny front terrace. On entering the ground floor is found the kitchen / dining room with an electric Aga, beyond this is the galley with the fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and ample storage, across the hall is the snug with a sofa and television. Also on the ground floor is the utility room with washing machine, toilet and wash hand basin.
Upstairs to the first floor is found a double bedroom along with the Pixies bedroom for the children, the sitting room with views over the river, television and DVD player, behind this is the playroom through which is found the bathroom, with shower above, toilet and wash hand basin.
Up again to the top of the house is found three more double bedrooms, along with a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin, also the tea cupboard for those early morning cups of tea.
To the back of the house is a paved courtyard, with steps leading up to the terraced lawned garden, at the top is the large decked area offering views over the harbour. Electric panel heating throughout. Street parking outside the house.
Our first visit to Flushing. We've had a lovely week, perfect for all the family. Good local pubs & restaurants.
