Shrimp Cottage nestles in the historic coastal village of Flushing, just a stone's throw from the water's edge, a wonderfully relaxing oasis, with parking for four cars.
The picturesque village lies across the water from Falmouth, it has two excellent pubs, and a small shop; the town offers a charming mix of shops and galleries which you can reach by taking the regular passenger ferry across river. With a southerly aspect Flushing is reputed to have the mildest climate in the country.
Kiln beach is a short distance away offering safe bathing, from here walk the coastal path around Trefusis headland with spectacular views over Falmouth Harbour and the Carrick Roads to Mylor Harbour, were you can hire boats, bikes and canoes or take a sailing lesson with one of the two sailing schools.
The front door opens into the hall, at the far end is the comfortable sitting room with colour television, CD stack, DVD player and wood burning stove along with French doors opening onto the lower rear terrace. The fully fitted and very well equipped kitchen has a built in electric double oven, separate hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave, door to terrace. Off the kitchen is the utility room with basin, washing machine and tumble dryer. Across the corridor is the separate dining room. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with toilet and wash hand basin.
Upstairs are two bedrooms the master double having views out over the river and a second smaller double bedroom along with the large family bathroom with bath, shower above, toilet and wash hand basin. Just across from the cottage is the annex suite Little Shrimp, doors open into the sitting room off which is a double bedroom with a television and wash hand basin, a separate shower room and toilet.
At the back of the cottage are two terrace areas both giving privacy, on the top terrace with views over the harbour is the seating pod, perfect for unwinding in this little oasis.
