Property Details
This detached property stands in a beautiful garden situated in this picturesque, peaceful village of Mylor Bridge. The cottage is close to the creekside, what better place to retreat to after a busy day messing about in boats. Mylor Harbour is close by with two sailing schools, also boats, bikes and canoes all available for hire. Just five minutes' walk away, is a superb selection of shops, a grocer, butcher, fishmonger, newsagent, a post office, and a very good pub The Lemon Arms, also a large playing field and tennis court, with many local seafood restaurants all within easy reach.
The house is perfectly placed for exploring all of Cornwall from the rugged cliffs, sandy coves and fishing villages, to the harbour town of Falmouth and the Cathedral city of Truro all are close by. Places of interest to visit include Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum and for day trips there are magnificent gardens to visit, including the Eden project, Heligan, Trebah, Trelissick and Glendurgan, then onward west to the Lizard peninsula, St Ives and Land's End.
The front opens into a spacious hall with oak flooring, off which is the sitting room, with comfortable leather sofas, a wood burning stove, television and DVD, with french doors leading out to the garden. To the other side is the fully fitted and equipped kitchen with a large gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and dining table with french doors opening to the back garden and terrace.
Also on the ground floor is the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and a fridge/freezer, through which is found the ground floor toilet.
Upstairs are found the three bedrooms, a master double and a second smaller double and a single bedroom. Along with the family bathroom with bath shower above, toilet, bidet and wash hand basin. Oil fired central heating throughout.
Outside is ample off road parking for two cars; the spacious pretty garden surrounds the house with lawns, mature shrubs, flower beds and patio areas, ideal for those evening barbecues.
