Dog friendly beaches in Cornwall

Cornwall is a wonderful holiday destination for the whole family, and for some families, that holiday wouldn't be the same without including the family dog.

We have a selection of dog friendly holiday properties that are close to many of the beautiful Cornish beaches and coastal footpaths that the whole family, and especially your dog, will love to explore.

Cornwall also boasts the most coastline of any other English county and whilst the South West Coastal Path is a real challenge in places, walking the coast path, gives you the opportunity to see some spectacular and dramatic views whilst providing your dog with a great walk.

All of Cornwall's beaches allow dogs (and their responsible owners) during the winter months, however there are seasonal restrictions on some beaches which tend to come into force at Easter and remain in place until 1st October. It is worth checking the information for individual beaches for more specific details of their dog friendly policy as some beaches do allow dogs after 7pm each evening.

Perranporth beach on the north coast of Cornwall is especially popular with dogs and their owners throughout the year due its fantastic 3 miles of golden sand. Their dog policy was introduced to avoid other beach users being hassled by unruly dogs (dogs love running on Perranporth beach!) - dogs must be kept on a short lead between the hours of 9am and 5pm during the months of July to September in certain areas of the beach.
