Forget-me-not is a charming, water’s edge
cottage situated in this tranquil and picturesque village. It has
stunning views across the river to Falmouth
facing south and west, and the evening sunsets are magnificent. The village
has an excellent fish restaurant along with two pubs, a Post Office and small
village store. During the day, a regular foot ferry runs to and from Falmouth
from the nearby quay.
There is a splendid circular walk from Flushing’s Kiln beach
around Trefusis headland to Mylor Harbour and its busy marina.
Mylor has a water-sports centre, with boat and canoe hire, two
excellent restaurants and a café. The cottage makes a great
base for boat enthusiasts; is perfect for family holidays, and
is well placed for exploring Cornwall.
The ground floor has a large, open plan living room with wood
burning stove, colour TV and DVD. There are French doors opening
onto the patio with direct access to the sea and stunning views
across the water. There is an outhaul leading off the patio, which
can be used for dinghy mooring.
The fully equipped kitchen has electric hob and oven, microwave,
dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Also on the ground floor is a small sitting room/study, and
a shower
room with toilet and hand basin. Upstairs are four bedrooms, the large master bedroom with double
bed and French doors opening onto a large sun terrace overlooking
the harbour. There is a twin bedroom and bunk room to the rear
of the cottage, along with the bathroom with bath and overhead
shower, toilet and hand basin.
The large fourth bedroom is up the ‘hidden stairs’,
with a double bed, also a ‘day bed’ for relaxing, having
lovely views across the water.
There is one allocated car parking
space on the nearby quay.
