Tucked away in a quiet corner of this waterside village known
as Little Falmouth, Lees Cottage overlooks the Penryn River
and is by a small working boatyard. Since the early 1800s
this yard has built Packet Ships and other traditional wooden
sailing vessels. Today modern sailing craft mingle with the traditional
working boats, which makes it popular with the boating enthusiasts.
Falmouth is just a short ferry ride away which has excellent assortment
of shops and glorious sandy beaches. Nearby at Mylor Harbour there
is a sailing school, boat hire and watersports centre. Flushing
itself is a quiet picturesque village which offers an excellent
fish restaurant, two pubs, a shop and post office.
On entering the cottage there is a large sitting room
with views out over the river, a granite fire place, television,
video and CD hifi system, also a quite library area with a wood
burning stove. A large dining room with connecting arch to the fully
fitted and equipped kitchen which has a gas cooking range, a large
fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Also on the ground floor is a utility room with washing
machine and tumble dryer and a separate clock room. Stairs lead
to four bedrooms, three of which have views out over the river.
The master bedroom with king size double and bathroom on suite,
a twin bedroom with shower room en-suite, a second double bedroom
and twin bedroom share a third bathroom. Oil fired central heating
throughout the cottage.
At the front of the cottage there is a expanse of
grass leading to the waters edge, at the back is a small enclosed
garden. A small garage useful for storing boating gear and bicycles
is available but to small for todays modern cars. Parking
is directly outside the cottage.
Cot & High Chair are
available.
