Sister castles Pendennis and St Mawes were examples of the finest of the fortresses built by Henry VIII to defend the country against invasion. Pendennis hosts many events throughout the summer season, including medieval jousts, Miracle theatre and historical re-enactions - a good day out for the whole family.

Home to the St Aubyn family since the 17th Century, St Michael's Mount is a wonderful place to visit to discover the history of this fortress, priory, harbour and home, and step into its sub-tropical gardens. Depending on the tide, walk across the causeway from the mainland or take the boat - an adventure!

Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, St Ives
The Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ives contains the largest number of Hepworth's work which is on display in the house and garden where she lived and worked from 1949 until her death in 1975.

The Minack Theatre

The Minack Theatre is an open-air theatre perched on the cliffs at Porthcurno. Designed and built by Rowena Cade, the theatre is open to sightseers and tickets can also be booked for the many theatrical performances throughout the season (come rain or shine!).
